Terms of Service

Draft

Draft policy - under review, not yet legally binding. It describes how we intend to operate today. Contact us with any question about your order and we will answer it directly.

FSH Labs is a small-batch fabrication shop. These terms apply when you place an order through this site, whether you buy a listed product, configure one of our designs, or upload your own file for a custom job.

Everything is made to order

Nothing on this site sits on a shelf. When you check out, a machine time slot and material are committed to your part, and the part is cut, printed, or engraved for you specifically. That single fact drives most of what follows, especially the cancellation and returns terms.

Your files and your rights in them

You can upload models and artwork in .stl, .3mf, .obj, .svg, .dxf, .pdf, .png, .jpg and .jpeg. By uploading a file or submitting text, artwork, or a logo to be reproduced, you represent that you own it or hold the rights and licenses needed to have it manufactured, and you agree to be responsible for any third-party claim arising from our making it.

You keep ownership of your files. We use them only to quote, produce, and support your order. We do not sell your designs, license them to anyone else, or add them to our catalog. If we would like to photograph a finished part for our own work page, we will ask you first.

We will decline work we believe infringes someone else's rights, and we will decline firearm components, functional weapons, and anything intended to cause harm. We may refuse or cancel any order at our discretion and refund it in full.

Quotes and pricing

Prices shown for configured products and for uploaded files are estimates generated from the geometry, material, and options you select. For uploaded images we may use an automated vision model to estimate the physical size of what you have drawn so we can price it - that estimate is a starting point, not a measurement.

A quote becomes binding when we accept the order and confirm it by email. If a file turns out to be unmanufacturable as submitted, or the real geometry differs materially from the estimate, we will contact you with a revised price before we cut or print anything. You are free to cancel at that point for a full refund.

Payment

Payment is taken at checkout through Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; card details go directly to Stripe. Orders are scheduled after payment clears.

Changing or cancelling an order

You can cancel or change an order for a full refund any time before it enters production. Reply to your order confirmation email and we will confirm the status. Once a part is on a machine or a sheet has been cut, the material and machine time are spent and we can no longer refund it.

Design changes submitted after setup - a revised file, a different size - restart the job and will be re-quoted.

What we build and what we do not warrant

We publish real tolerances and build volumes for every process on our materials page, and we hold to them. Additive and laser processes have characteristics that are not defects: visible layer lines on FDM parts, light kerf taper and edge char on laser-cut wood, minor color variation between material batches, and support-contact marks on SLA parts.

You are responsible for whether a part is fit for your application. We do not certify parts for structural, medical, aerospace, automotive safety, or food-contact use, and printed polymers should not be assumed safe for any of them unless we have agreed in writing.

Defects and our errors

If a part arrives damaged, or we build it wrong against your accepted order, we remake it at no charge. The full detail is on our shipping and returns page.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to what you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost time, project delays, or costs incurred elsewhere because a part was late, wrong, or unusable. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Accounts

You can check out as a guest or create an account. If you create one, keep your password to yourself - you are responsible for activity under it. We can suspend an account that is being used to abuse the site or place fraudulent orders.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force for your order is the one published when you placed it.
