Terms of Service

FSH Labs is a small-batch fabrication shop. These terms apply when you place an order through this site, whether you order parts from an instant quote, send us a custom job, or buy one of our own products.

Everything is made to order

Nothing on this site sits on a shelf. When you check out, a machine time slot and material are committed to your part, and the part is cut, engraved, or marked for you specifically. That single fact drives most of what follows, especially the cancellation and returns terms.

Your files and your rights in them

Instant quotes take laser files in .dxf and .svg. A custom request can also refer to .pdf, .png and .jpg files, and 3D models in .stl, .3mf, .obj or .step, which we laser cut or engrave from rather than print. By uploading a file or submitting text, artwork, or a logo to be reproduced, you represent that you own it or hold the rights and licenses needed to have it manufactured, and you agree to be responsible for any third-party claim arising from our making it.

You keep ownership of your files. We use them only to quote, produce, and support your order. We do not sell your designs, license them to anyone else, or add them to our catalog. If we would like to photograph a finished part for our own work page, we will ask you first.

We will decline work we believe infringes someone else's rights, and we will decline firearm components, functional weapons, and anything intended to cause harm. We may refuse or cancel any order at our discretion and refund it in full.

Instant quotes

The price on an instant quote is computed from the file you upload: its measured geometry, the material, the quantity and the options you pick. No person sets it and no AI touches it.

When you check out, our server recomputes the price from the same file and the same choices. That recomputed figure, shown at checkout before you pay, is the binding price. If it ever differs from what you saw while quoting, the checkout figure is the one that applies.

A price is a commitment to make the part as quoted, not a guarantee that every file can be made. If we find that a file can't be made as quoted, we will tell you and may cancel the order with a full refund rather than make something different from what you paid for.

Custom quotes and shop products

A custom request sent through our order form is quoted by a person. Any estimate shown on the form, including a size estimate from an automated vision model, is a starting point, not a measurement. A custom quote becomes binding when we confirm it by email. What the estimate sends and to whom is in our privacy policy.

Prices for our own products are the prices shown in the shop. If a file turns out to be unmanufacturable as submitted, we will contact you before we cut or engrave anything, and you are free to cancel at that point for a full refund.

Order minimum

Laser cutting orders have a $25 minimum. If the parts come to less, the difference is added to the order before any rush charge. Work we quote by hand, such as engraving your own items, has the same $25 minimum before shipping. Personalized items from the shop have no minimum.

Lead times and rush

Lead times are targets, not guarantees: laser cutting 2 - 3 business days from your order to the parts being ready, before any shipping. They apply to materials we keep in stock. A material we have to order in adds time, and we tell you before we start if it does. Current times are on our lead times page.

Laser cut orders can be made rush for the next business day, at +50% of the order. The ready day is shown before you pay. Rush is a target like any other lead time.

Local pickup

Local pickup in metro Atlanta is free. Choose it when you order and we will email you when the parts are ready to arrange a time and a public meeting spot. The shop itself is not open to visitors. Shipping is covered on our shipping and returns page.

Payment

Payment is taken at checkout through Stripe: on Stripe Checkout for instant-quote orders, and on Stripe's payment form for shop products. We never see or store your card number; card details go directly to Stripe. Orders are scheduled after payment clears.

A quoted order can instead be paid by a Stripe invoice, due on receipt, by card or bank transfer (ACH). It is scheduled once the invoice is paid; we do not extend credit. A purchase order number you give us is printed on your receipt and invoice for your records and does not change these terms. Sales tax is charged where it applies, unless we have approved a current exemption certificate for the email you order with.

Changing or cancelling an order

You can cancel or change an order for a full refund any time before it enters production. Reply to your order confirmation email and we will confirm the status. Once a part is on a machine or a sheet has been cut, the material and machine time are spent and we can no longer refund it.

Design changes submitted after setup - a revised file, a different size - restart the job and will be re-quoted.

What we build and what we do not warrant

We publish real tolerances and sizes for every process on our materials page, and we hold to them. Laser processes have characteristics that are not defects: light kerf taper and edge char on laser-cut wood, and minor color variation between material batches. Made-to-order shop products can show fine surface lines and slight texture differences from one piece to the next; these are part of how they are made.

You are responsible for whether a part is fit for your application. We do not certify parts for structural, medical, aerospace, automotive safety, or food-contact use, and plastic parts should not be assumed safe for any of them unless we have agreed in writing.

Remakes

If a part arrives damaged, does not match the file and options on your order, or fails from a manufacturing defect, tell us within 7 days of delivery or pickup, with photos, and we remake it at no charge. Where a remake is not what you want, we refund instead. A part made faithfully from a file with a design problem in it is not a defect. The full detail is on our shipping and returns page.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to what you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost time, project delays, or costs incurred elsewhere because a part was late, wrong, or unusable. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Accounts

For shop products you can check out as a guest or create an account. If you create one, keep your password to yourself - you are responsible for activity under it. We can suspend an account that is being used to abuse the site or place fraudulent orders.

SMS Terms: You can contact FSH Labs by calling or texting 678-210-6694. By texting FSH Labs, you agree to receive conversational text messages regarding your inquiry, order, or account. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for assistance. Your mobile number will not be shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. The privacy policy covers how we handle your number.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force for your order is the one published when you placed it.
