Laser engraving

Laser engraving on acrylic, wood and Delrin.

Part numbers on a fixture, a logo on a sign, a scale on a panel. We engrave on the same CO2 laser that cuts your parts, in our Atlanta shop. Send the file and a person quotes it within 24 hours.

What we engrave

The same sheet we cut, engraved in house.

Every material below is on the instant quote for cutting. Engraving is quoted by a person.

Acrylic
Clear, black, white, red, blue, green, yellow and mirror. Engraving leaves a frosted mark in the surface, crisp enough for small text and fine line work.
Baltic birch plywood
Engraves dark against the pale face. The go-to for jigs, labels and signs. Sheet: .125 in (3.2 mm), .250 in (6.3 mm).
MDF
An even, dark engrave with no grain to fight. Good for templates and painted pieces. Sheet: .125 in (3.2 mm), .250 in (6.3 mm).
Hardboard
Smooth, hard and inexpensive. Labels, tags and shop templates. Sheet: .125 in (3.2 mm).
Delrin (acetal)
Tough and slippery. Engraved part numbers and marks on wear parts, spacers and fixtures. Sheet: .125 in (3.2 mm).
Polypropylene
Thin and flexible. Engraved labels and stencils. Sheet: .030 in (0.8 mm).

Non-metal engraving

The engraving a mail-order laser service won't do.

As of September 2026, SendCutSend's engraving and etching covers metal parts only, and its acrylic orders offer no engraving option. If your part is acrylic, wood or Delrin and it needs a mark, that is the gap we fill.

And because we're in Atlanta, you can pick the parts up instead of waiting on a box.

Who it's for

Marks that make a part easier to use.

  • Jigs and fixtures

Part numbers, station IDs and orientation arrows on birch or Delrin, so the fixture goes on the right way every shift.
  • Panels and faceplates

Labels, scales and logos on acrylic front panels, covers and control plates.
  • Signs and wayfinding

Engraved acrylic and wood signs for offices, shops, labs and job sites.
  • Prototypes and short runs

A logo on a display piece, a run of tags, a branded insert. One piece or a batch.

How to order

Send the art. A person prices it.

  1. 01Send the file

SVG, DXF or PDF for text and line work; PNG or JPG for photos and raster art. Send it at the size you want it engraved.
  2. 02Say what goes where

Material, thickness and quantity, and whether we cut the part too. Put engraving and cut lines on separate layers or colors.
  3. 03Get a price

A person looks at the file and quotes it within 24 hours, with a ready date.
  4. 04Pick up

Free pickup in metro Atlanta, or we ship it.

Setting up the file? Convert text to outlines, keep the art at final size, and read the DXF and SVG export guide. For the cut outline, the laser cutting guidelines list every rule our quote checks.

Putting a logo or name on gifts or team gear? Cutting boards, coasters, leather hat patches and acrylic awards have an instant price per piece: see personalized products.

Questions

Engraving, answered.

Is there an instant price for engraving?
Not yet. The instant quote prices laser cutting from your file's geometry. Engraving depends on the area and detail of the art, so a person prices it within 24 hours of you sending the file.
Can you cut and engrave the same part?
Yes. Send one file with the cut outline and the engraving on separate layers or colors, and say which is which. The job is quoted by a person rather than the instant quote.
Do you engrave metal?
Metal goes on our fiber laser, which marks stainless steel, aluminum (bare or anodized) and brass. See fiber laser marking.
What won't you put on the laser?
We never laser PVC and vinyl, polycarbonate, ABS (for cutting), HDPE and UHMW, G10, carbon fiber, neoprene and Viton. Some give off toxic gas; the rest melt or burn instead of cutting or engraving cleanly.
