Laser cut mirror acrylic
Mirror acrylic is acrylic sheet with a reflective layer on the back, sealed under a protective coat. It cuts to any outline a glass mirror can't, weighs about half as much, and is far harder to break.

Fit
When mirror acrylic is the right call
The reflection is a little less true than glass, and a sheet that flexes distorts it, so mount it flat on a backer for the cleanest image.
Good for
- Decorative wall pieces
- Sign accents and lettering
- Retail and display fixtures
- Shatter-resistant mirrors
- Event and photo props
Pick something else when
- You need an optically perfect reflection. Glass mirror is still truer.
- The face will be handled a lot. The mirror face scratches easily; a clear or colored part may wear better.

Care and handling
Looking after mirror acrylic parts
- The mirror layer is on the back. Keep the back coat intact; scratching through it shows on the front.
- Clean the face with a soft, damp cloth only: no paper towels, no ammonia or alcohol cleaners.
- Mount it face out on a flat backer with mirror-safe adhesive or mounting tape. Solvent adhesives can attack the mirror layer.
